Photos help more than a description; a picture of the springs, the track, and the opener unit lets us rule out guesswork before we're even on site.
Most homes in this area were built between 1938 and 2005, with the bulk going up through the 1980s and 90s. That matters for pricing because a door from that era often has hardware sizes and track spacing that newer stock doors don't match, and we need to know which we're dealing with before we quote a part number over the phone.
What we can't price sight-unseen: broken torsion springs (we need to measure wire gauge and drum size in person), bent track that may have taken the rollers with it, and any job where the opener and the door disagree about what's wrong. Anything involving a full panel or full door replacement gets measured on site, not guessed at.

What We Actually Do

Is it ever better to replace the whole door instead of repairing it?
